A shooter walks into birthday party, shoots his girlfriend and 5 others before killing himself
People screamed for help and ran helter-skelter as the sudden sound cracked through the calm breeze. it wasn’t the sound of a jet but a gun. A lone shooter had walked into a birthday party and shot at least five people dead.
It’s still fresh in our minds, as if yesterday that a shooter stormed STEM school Highlands Ranch, a charter school located in Douglas county, Colorado which led to death of a student and several injuries.
It was just on March 22 that a gunman massacred 10 people at a Boulder Supermarket.
And if that is not enough, let me remind you that in 2015 a man went loose and shot people dead a random before dying in a dog-fight with police in Colorado Springs on Halloween.
And yet, another gory sight occurred when a lunatic went loose killing three including a police officer, injured about eight others at Planned Parenthood clinic. All in Colorado!
On May 9th, Colorado did it again – what it does best – it’s in the news for the bad reasons. A lone gunman walked into a birthday party just after the midnight, took aim at his girlfriend and five others before shooting himself, police said.

The shooting was particularly shocking because it occurred on Mother’s Day, a day we honor mothers for their sacrifices in giving birth and catering for us.
“Multiple lives were taken today by this terrible act of violence – families torn apart, and at a birthday party, no less,” he said. “My deepest condolences and prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone else impacted by this tragedy,” said Colorado Governor Jard Polis.
Shooter’s motive not known
Family memebers console one another
While it is tempting to think that the suspected shooter massacred his girlfirend and people around her as a result of misunderstanding and possible break-up, police say they are still investigating the killer’s motive.
At the cirme scene
It was Colorado’s worst mass shooting since a Syrian-born gunman went on a shooting spree killing 10 people at a Boulder Supermarket on March 22.
Sunday’s Colorado Springs incident marks the state’s eighth mass shooting, involving the deaths of four or more victims, since 1993
“My heart breaks for the families who have lost someone they love an for the children who have lost their parents,” Colorado Springs Police Chief Vince Niski said in a statement.
