Headmaster of Baglo Community Senior High School has been chased away from the school by myopic parents who are enraged because the honourable headmaster refused to badge on examination malpractice.

With school teachers selling their dignity and the future stability of the nation for a pittance, one wonders where we’re headed to as a nation.

Among some few rational headmasters in the country like the Tweneboah Koduah SHS headmaster, Baglo Community Senior High School headmaster has impressed his name on the shortlist of the hall of fame of responsible educationists and Headmasters in the country.

Baglo SHS headmaster has unfurled the banner of rationality, patriotism, statesmanship and unwavering stance against Ghana’s most dangerous situation in the country now – unfettered examination malpractice. 

Where is Baglo Senior High School?

Baglo Ridge Senior High Technical School is located in Baglo-Buem in the Jasikan district. 

The school is a community-based co-educational institution which was officially opened on the 4th of March 1991 as a public institution under the Ghana Education Service with 17 students and 4 teachers.

Examination malpractice spreading faster than thought

The culture of examination malpractice which has become the stock in trade of schools in the Ashanti region, Bono Region, Bono East, Brong Ahafo, Western region and literally all the southern schools has eventually crept into the bosom of the Oti and Volta regions. 

Who knows, the Northern regions may have already invited themselves to the inglorious table of shame and fatuity.

Although some Ashanti schools still have level-headed educationists like the Assistant Headmaster Academic of Osei Tutu SHS whose no nonsense approach to WASSCE malpractice suffered the callous, brutal and primitive consciousness of Osei Tutu students, a lot needs to be done in the region to curtail the ever-raging bushfire which is engulfing all without mercy.

What really happened at Baglo Community Senior High School?

The headmaster reportedly resisted an orchestrated attempt by teachers to take money from students and write the examination for them. This is reportedly the practice in about 90% of schools in the Ashanti, Western, Eastern and Brong Ahafo regions. 

But such a deal with the Baglo headmaster would not wash. To spit out their frustration, parents of the students clad in bright red marched to the school to demand the headmaster’s immediate removal from the community. What a shameful and backward people!

Community-assisted Examination malpractice on the rise?

There are countless primitive communities in the country who think examination malpractice should be the norm. They have no clue to the dangers of examination malpractice as students of today know nothing about the very subject they hold excellent grades in.

One notable Community in the country that has gained unraveled notoriety when it comes to Community-engineered malpractice is the Akontombra district in the Western North region.

The Nsawora Edumafua Senior High School in the  Akontombra District of Western North reportedly had a misguided, compliant headmistress who countenanced malpractice under her watch for several years 

But with a new anti-malpractice headmaster, the man has reportedly come under unjust verbal abuse by some teachers and the entire Community.

Nsawora Edumafua is one of the hotbeds of examination malpractice in the Western North.

Quality of Education has taken a nose dive due to Examination Malpractice

Examination malpractice has created a lot of fake certificates in the country. Most SHS graduates can hardly weave error-free words together.
