Alex Opoku-Mensah’s insults and what it tells about him

You cannot listen to the sheer verbal rant of the Ashanti NSS Regional Director’s abominable insults at the victimized nurse without cringing an eye or appearing shame-faced.

None of the filthy words hurled at the nurse by this uncouth man can be taken lightly. It’ll be an understatement to say that the words he spat really define him and it’s indeed ” his style”.

In this  article, we’ll examine some of his most acerbic lines and strive to find out who he really is.

He’s a tribalist – Alex asked the nurse whether he knew how Manhyia was birthed

Although some of his followers, particularly in Ashanti, may disagree, there’s no denying the fact that Mr. Alex Opoku-Mensah is a perfect epitome of modern-day prejudiced, tribal man.

Aggressively asking a fellow Ghanaian posted to Manhyia, the seat of the Asante King, to work at the district hospital whether she knew when Manhyia was carved clearly shed lights on his tribally infested brain.

He cared less whether the said nurse even belonged to the Asante tribe like him. To primitive and brainwashed people like him, there are even proper Asantes among the Asantes.

He’s a bully

One thing is clear about bullies – they don’t pick worthy opponents. They always attack the helpless. Every single metric showed that Mr. Opoku-Mensah deliberately decided to bully the nurse. He never ceased to remind her that he was the Ashanti NSS Regional Director, former Science teacher at KNUST SHS and was a person of substantial influence up his sleeve.

Uncouth and uncultured

Very few men can call a lady stupid, ugly among others in the full glare of the public. Such men hardly care about what society thinks of them. They’re simply an apology of the 21st century man.

Flashy on the outside and seemingly pleasing to the eye and ear because of their formal education, but men of his calibre still have primitive beliefs deeply rooted in their conscience. They have inflated ego, are extremely conceited and highly uncultured.

Alex could be a corrupt man

Once again, Mr. Opoku-Mensah shed light on the ailing political system of our country. Whether NPP or NDC, this country has always walked in the shadows of who you know. Well, they do have a nice way of saying it – protocol.

As a mere NSS coordinator for a single region out of 16, Mr. Opoku-Mensah still believed he could get the nurse thrown out of Manhyia for good. The only way he could do that was to influence the structures that oversee nurse postings and transfer and this could only be ensured in a devious or dubious way.

Alex is disrespectful

What would Mr. Opoku-Mensah had done if someone had broken into his office and started attacking one of his colleague workers or subordinates?

He demonstrated vividly how he lacks just a drop of respect for society. And this, of course, calls for his immediate removal from post as championed by the GRNMA.

He is a bad parent

It’s very interesting that Alex claimed he had taught Science at KNUST SHS before. His attitude demonstrated how bad a parent he is.

What won’t this man do to anyone who tries to correct his ward? To brazenly tell his grown up daughter to insult the nurse was very unscrupulous of him. A father indeed!  He isn’t a parent at all.
