How did we get here?

It all happened when Mr. Alex Opoku-Mensah, the embattled former Ashanti NSS Regional Director, stormed the Manhyia Government hospital to face off with a nurse at post.

The former NSS Coordinator was caught on tape verbally abusing a nurse who he believed had intimidated his daughter, a house officer at the same Manhyia hospital.

His utterances were vile and filthy, to say the least. This drew the ire of many Ghanaians who took to social media to condemn the erratic and bad-mannered former boss.

Mr. Alex Opoku Mensah eventually took to his Facebook page to apologize to Ghanaians but most would have none of that and reiterated a call for him to step down as the Ashanti NSS Regional Director.

“I understand the disappointment and appreciate the inconvenience my action has caused the public as well as the Nursing Fraternity and Manhyia Hospital,” a statement on his Facebook wall reads.
