Required Tools to Clean TV Remote

- swab
- Distilled water
Let’s take a deep dive into the steps we should employ to rid the grime off the surface of the remote control.
Step 1: Remove the batteries from the remote.

Open the battery booth and plug off the batteries in the remote control. This ensures that we do not end up creating any unintended mishap. When you clean the surface, you’ll certainly be pressing several buttons together.
Step 2: Clean surface of remote using disinfecting wipe.

Use a disinfecting wipe to clean the front surface of the remote by meticulously picking out dirt in between buttons. Turn to the back of the remote and wipe it clean.
The spaces in between the buttons are mostly too small for your fingers to be able to completely pick up the fine particles.
Step 3: If you still find dirt or streak of smudge or grime, use a swab dipped in distilled water to scrub in between the buttons to pick out the dirt. Leave it to dry when you think it’s okay. Alternatively, you can use a dry cotton swab to clean the droplets of water left behind or speed up the drying.
