The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for students who took the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this year. School students will get their results from their schools through the local education directors. Private candidates can check their results on WAEC’s official website, www.waecgh.org.
In a statement dated November 9, 2023, and signed by John Kapi, WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, it was mentioned that school candidates can check their results online on the Council’s website if they want.
WAEC has cancelled 643 subjects or entire results of candidates due to examination malpractice of varying forms.
However, WAEC informed that the results of 22,270 candidates in certain subjects are on hold due to investigations into reported mass cheating.
Depending on the findings, these candidates’ results may be canceled or released. WAEC cautioned everyone to be careful of those who claim to improve results for a fee. The Council reminded candidates that WAEC results are secure and can be verified for authenticity.
